RACHEL & NEIL | Washington, DC Engagement Session

I asked Rachel and Neil what they wanted to do for their engagement shoot — something that reflected their lives and interests — and their first request was to do something in the neighborhood. And since their neighborhood is also MY neighborhood, I was completely on board. ;-)

We started off at their apartment (in the gorgeous Kennedy Warren building in Cleveland Park, which is also the site of their wedding next month) for some time with their puppy (and a quick serenade on the piano) and then wandered the neighborhood.

With the slight exception of their favorite Irish bar (I swear allegiance to the dearly departed Ireland’s Four Provinces, while they are fans of Nanny O’Briens), these were also some of my favorite spots. (As you might recall from this post….) And a quick mid-session beer stop? Don’t mind if we do…. (although sadly you can’t eat Vace pizza while shooting….bummer!)

Can’t wait for your wedding, guys!

It was a beautiful day — the kind of unexpectedly mild early spring day that gives you hope after a long, gray winter…

Rebecca looked gorgeous, and their first look had me nearly in tears. ;-)

Congratulations, guys! Hope you are enjoying a wonderful honeymoon….
