ERIK & CAROLChicago Skyline Proposal

I think it’s safe to say that Erik and Carol had a pretty great Christmas…..

Here’s how we spent our Christmas Eve:

I headed out to one of my favorite Chicago spots, and hung out for a bit, wandering around like a tourist. Erik and I texted back and forth so I knew when they had arrived, and got ready to capture one of the biggest moments of their lives.

Erik promised Carol a fun afternoon at Navy Pier, but when they arrived, he suggested taking a quick walk to take selfies against the Chicago skyline. But then he dropped to one knee and gave her a pretty awesome Christmas present. ;-)

As you can see, #shesaidyes.

Once she got over the shock, I gave them a few minutes to make some important phone calls to share the news — and then we spent a little time wandering around for a mini-engagement session.

Congratulations, Erik and Carol! Thanks for allowing me to document this day!
